Well done to all the runners who completed the Settle Loop Race on Sunday.

We welcomed 61 runners to our new course (we took the tarmac out) and Tom Adams, of Ilkley Harriers won to set the new record, a replacement of his old record which he set in the race’s inaugural year 2008. Carol Evans, of Settle Harriers, was the first lady.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the following businesses who sponsored our prizes today:

Big thanks also to all the marshals and helpers who turned out to ensure the smooth running of the event, the landowners and of course, the competitors.

The race is the main annual fundraiser for Settle Scout Group and the money goes towards the upkeep of the Drill Hall and the activities which go on throughout the year for the children who are in Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. Thank you for your generosity and support.

Please follow the Trail Race link in the menu for the results.

2010 Entries Now Open
Wednesday, 04 August 2010 11:04

Entries are now open for the 2010 Settle Loop Tough Trail Race. The course has been changed slightly so that it now qualifies as a category BM race. Unfortunately, this means that the race does not act as a qualifier for the Three Peaks race, despite what we previously posted. Please accept our apologies for the mix up!
